The biggest prize in the country, the Grande Premio do Brasil, takes place on the first or second weekend of August every year and suddenly the grandstand beomes a magnet for the carioca elite. Fashion shows, big prize money and, yes, hats are the main attractions, but dont forget your collar and shoes if you want to get into the smarter of the three stands, complete with a view down the home straight to rival any course in the world.
